The demand for private jets is soaring. Those jets generate massively more CO2 emissions that any commercial flight.
The ruling caste, who think they rule over us, have no hesitation to use heavily polluting private jets to scoot around on their planet hopping fun times.
The pandemic has been generous to the super rich.

The super-rich are taking their private jets to go around the Covid restrictions on commercial flights.
Articles reports number of private jet takeoffs have increased 40% from a year ago. They’re at the highest level since before the 2008 financial crisis kicked in. I’ll guess the 2008 level was the previous record high.
This is another illustration of flaming hypocrisy.

During the first week of November the number of private jet flights was up 54% year-over-year and 16% from two years earlier.
As an indicator of demand, two companies, Flexjet and NetJets, that offer fractional ownership in aircraft have stopped taking new customers. NetJets is pouring $2.5 billion into buying up 100 new planes.
As an indicator of how pumping trillions of dollars into the economy benefits the elite, article points to report by Bloomberg that the 500 richest people in the world increased their wealth by $1.2 trillion in the last 12 months. That is an average of $24 billion each. The pandemic has been good for them. Very good. Very, very good.
(For you and me? Not so good.)
The push for private jets has come from super-rich folk in Hollywood, Wall Street, and newly public companies. I’ll guess other assorted elitists are part of the skyrocketing demand.
Article sites report in Daily Mail that a typical, average private jet burns 280 gallons of fuel an hour. That’s about 2 tons of CO2 per flight hour. For contrast an average person consumes resources which generate about eight tons of CO2 per year.
So, four hours in the air by a private jet generates as much CO2 as an average person does in a year. The two hour round-trip to shopping or skiing or a meeting? Equal to a year of CO2 for you and me.
Now for the super-duper, conspicuous consumption, highly wasteful, uber flaming hypocrisy…
Forbes – 11/5/21 – 118 Private Jets Take Leaders to COP26 Climate Are Burning Over 1,000 tons of CO2 – The major climate conference in Glasgow gathered a massive number of private citizens who took their private jet so they can figure out how to tell you and me to reduce our environmental impact.
Not counting military jets who transported the political leaders, such as the US president and his entourage, there were 118 business jets flown in for the conference.
Article says most of the people attending the Glasgow conference were previously in Rome. The short flight from Rome to Glasgow is estimated to generate around 6 tons of CO2. Per plane. Times 118.
So this leaves us with a picture that the ruling elite that think they rule over us can take their private jets to conferences where they figure out how to rule over us. They enjoy their super-luxurious lifestyle while planning to force us to cut back our average, middle-class lifestyle.
Discussion of their luxurious, expensive, exquisitely polluting lifestyle is obviously off the table.
Same thing happens at Davos every year.
